2 Nigerian men arrested in Bangkok for allegedly selling 13kgs of cocaine

Two Nigerian have been arrested in Bangkok after police found 13 kilogramms of cocaine with one of them.

Initially police arrested Nigerian national Chika Cletus Onwukwe, 30, in Sai Mai district after police found 13kgs of cocaine in his Toyota Yaris car at the mount of Soi Phaholyothin 58.

He arrested in a sting operation.

Onwukwe then offered to pay to police Bt300,000 in cash to police in exchange for his release and promised the officers another Bt300,000 in cash they could pick up from his friend Akudo Gilbert Ndigwe, 51, at a nearby gas station.

So police went along and arrested Ndigwe as well. The two were charged of having cocaine in possession with intention to sell and bribing police officers.
