Thai Airways bond price set at 31 THB

BANGKOK, 15 September 2010 (NNT) – Thai Airways International (THAI) has set the issue price for the new lot of its bond at 31 THB, aiming to attract the existing bondholders into investing.

Piyasvasti Amranand, THAI president, said that the price-per-bond offered at 31 THB is deemed reasonable. This issue price will help draw the existing THAI bondholders into the recapitalisation using their existing privileges. The company has limited the number of bonds on offer to 500 million shares despite the number of domestic and international institutional investors interested in acquiring the shares.
