Cambodia’s Planned “Day of Anger” Hits Snag

Cambodia’s Interior Ministry has decided to withhold permission for holding the “Day of Anger” against Thailand in the nation’s capital.

The Cambodian government is currently awaiting its Interior Ministry’s decision on whether to allow the nation’s largest labor assembly to hold an event in protest of Thailand’s alleged encroachment on Cambodian territory at the old parliament building in Phnom Penh.

President of the Cambodian Labor Confederation, Rong Chun, has called on over 10,000 Cambodians to take part in the group’s “Day of Anger”.

The event will mark the confederation’s perceived Thai infringements on Cambodian sovereignty made two years ago.
