BANGKOK – HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati, who has been under medical care since losing consciousness from a heart condition in December 2022, is now fighting a serious bloodstream infection, her medical team announced.

The team at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital detected the infection and has been administering a course of multiple antibiotics since August 9, along with additional medication to stabilize her blood pressure. In a statement issued today, doctors confirmed they are providing comprehensive treatment and closely monitoring her condition.

Royal doctors are closely monitoring the health of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati due to a serious blood infection, the Royal Household Bureau said in a statement on Friday.

The princess, the eldest daughter of His Majesty the King and Princess Soamsawali, has been receiving continuous care at the hospital since her hospitalization on December 15, 2022. The medical team remains fully dedicated to her treatment and recovery.
