TAT Promotes Jurassic World Filming Sites in Southern Thailand

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is inviting travelers to explore the scenic filming locations featured in Jurassic World: Rebirth, the latest installment of the global blockbuster franchise from Universal Pictures. While scenes were filmed in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, the production focused heavily on the natural landscapes of southern Thailand, showing off the country’s rich biodiversity and dramatic coastal terrain.

Thailand Takes Center Stage in New Jurassic World Blockbuster

Key locations include Hat Chao Mai National Park in Trang, Khao Phanom Bencha National Park in Krabi, and Ao Phang Nga National Park in Phang Nga. Within Krabi Province, the film features Ban Bagan, Huai To Waterfall, Tham To Luang Cave, Palm Plantation, Nai Mueang, Khao Khanap Nam, Khao Ngon Nak, and Khlong Rood. Additional scenes were shot at Ko Kradan in Trang and Phang Nga Bay, highlighting crystal-clear waters and iconic limestone cliffs.

The film has garnered international attention for these destinations, thereby enhancing their appeal among adventure seekers and film enthusiasts. Each location offers unique natural beauty, from cascading waterfalls and sea caves to dense forests and white-sand beaches.

In coordination with the 1672 Travel Buddy campaign, the Tourism Authority is encouraging visitors to experience these sites responsibly. Resources are available to help travelers plan their trips with an emphasis on sustainability and local engagement.
