Wat Pha Kung or Wat Pakung (วัดป่ากุง) is a beautiful Buddhist temple located in Sri Somdet district of Roi Et. Wat Pakung temple is a replica of the Borobudur Buddhist temple in Java, Indonesia, the largest Buddhist temple in the world.

The construction of Wat Pha Kung started on January 30, 2004 and was finished on May 3, 2006 and it cost 40 Million THB. Wat Pakung was carved from rock and placed in rows up to the top of the temple.

This unique temple is highly recommended if you are visiting the Roi Et area.
