About 20 Bangkok squatter houses destroyed in fire

About 20 houses were destroyed in a squatter community in Bangkok’s Phasi Charoen district early on Tuesday.

It took firefighters about an hour to control the blaze which started about 1am in houses behind Wat Khua Sawan on Soi Phetkasem 28, Pol Capt Itthiphan Khamthui, deputy inspector of the Phasi Charoen police station, said.
