Police to take legal actions against Dhammakaya followers for obstructing DSI officials

Pathum Thani provincial police will press ahead with taking legal actions against followers of Wat Dhammakaya for allegedly obstructing officials of the Department of Special Investigation in their attempt to arrest Phra Dhammachayo on June 16.

Pol Maj-Gen Thavorn Khaosa-ard, commander of Pathum Thani provincial police, told the media on Tuesday that legal actions against some Wat Dhamakaya’s followers was in response to a complaint filed by DSI officials with Klong Luang district police after they were prevented from getting into the temple in search of the embattled abbot.
