Man arrested for urging people to boycott referendum

A man was arrested by police in Ubon Ratchathani’s Phibun Mangsaharn district on Tuesday after he was seen at a fresh market in the municipal area shouting and urging shoppers to boycott the referendum on August 7.

The suspect, 48-year old Vicharn Phuviharn, who lives in Nong Khaem district in Bangkok Metropolis, was sent to Phra Srimahapho hospital in the Muang district immediately after his arrest by an order of Pol Col Sophon Kruachao, the police superintendent, who suspected that he might have mental problem.
