BANGKOK, 10 April 2015 (NNT) – The government has vowed to continue its rescue operation of Thai fishermen still trapped in Indonesia after having succeeded in bringing more than 200 Thai people back to Thailand.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security and related agencies have since October 2014 secured the release of 244 Thai crew members lured into toiling in Indonesian seas. Of the number, 156 are the Thai fishermen trapped on Ambon Island.
