Heavy downpours bring Bangkok traffic to standstill, more rain on the way
A summer thunderstorm yesterday brought heavy downpours to Bangkok, causing traffic chaos, it said.
A ridge of intense high pressure from China has extended to Thailand and the South China Sea.
More summer thunderstorms with gusty winds and cool weather were likely over lower northern, central and southern Thailand over the next couple of days, the department said.
