Etihad Airways Flight Lands Safely After Hitting Turbulence Near Phuket
PHUKET – An Etihad Airways flight from Abu Dhabi to Phuket encountered an air pocket near its destination on Wednesday but landed safely without injuries, the Bangkok Post reported. The incident occurred aboard flight EY416, an Airbus A321 carrying 160 passengers.

Phuket International Airport management reported that the pilot notified the control tower of turbulence at approximately 11 a.m. Airport staff promptly prepared emergency services and allocated a dedicated parking bay for the aircraft.

The plane landed safely at 11:50 a.m. A response team boarded immediately to provide first aid and assess passengers and crew, confirming that no one was injured.
