Foreign Suspect Flees After Assaulting and Robbing Bangkok Motorcycle Taxi Rider

BANGKOK – A foreign man is evading capture after allegedly attacking and stealing the motorcycle of a Bolt taxi rider in Bangkok on Sunday night. The incident occurred around 11:15 p.m. on December 22 near Soi Wisut Kasat under the Rama 8 Bridge.

Drunk British Man Launches Brutal Attack on Pattaya Bolt Driver

The motorcycle taxi rider reported that the suspect had booked a ride via the Bolt app from Phra Nakhon district to Pattaya, offering a fare exceeding 1,200 baht. Upon arriving at the pickup point, the driver was assaulted, and the assailant fled with his white and dark blue All New Honda Wave 125i motorcycle.

The rider had taken a precautionary selfie with the suspect before the attack. Screenshots from the booking app suggest the suspect may be of European origin, though this has not been confirmed. The victim has filed a police report and is offering a reward for information leading to the suspect’s arrest. Authorities have not yet provided updates on the investigation or the suspect’s whereabouts.

Foreign Suspect Uses Dog as Distraction in Phuket Motorcycle Theft

The case follows a similar pattern to an earlier incident in Phuket, where a foreigner stole a motorcycle after pretending to play with a dog nearby. That suspect also remains at large.
