According to authorities, the victim sustained multiple traumatic injuries across his body, including critical wounds to his legs and torso. Investigators noted the particularly disturbing detail that both of the child’s ears were missing. The case came to light after the father, 26-year-old Mr. Thanakorn, reported the boy missing. He stated he had left his son in the care of a female restaurant employee while he made a brief 30-minute motorcycle trip to drop off another worker. Upon returning, the caregiver claimed she did not know the child’s whereabouts.

After an overnight search, the father located his son’s body approximately 300 meters from their home. In a move that may have complicated the forensic investigation, he carried the body home to clean it before notifying police and rescue services. The child’s mother, who was in another province at the time, collapsed upon receiving the news and has since traveled to Rayong. The Nikhom Phatthana Police Station has classified the case as a severe and unnatural death, launching a full homicide investigation that includes questioning the caregiver and reviewing CCTV footage from the area as they work to determine responsibility for the tragic death.
