Police at Patong Station reported they immediately coordinated with the Kusoldharm Phuket Foundation and Patong Hospital after receiving the emergency call. Witnesses at the scene confirmed that the rider failed to navigate a sharp curve, causing the motorcycle to careen off the road and become lodged in the trees below. The challenging terrain complicated rescue efforts as the injured tourist was found entangled in a barbed wire fence further down the ravine.
Using ropes and specialized equipment, rescue personnel rappelled down the steep slope to secure the victim before carefully extracting him to safety. Emergency medical teams waiting above quickly assessed his condition, noting multiple injuries including a visibly fractured right leg. The tourist received immediate first aid before being transported to Patong Hospital for urgent treatment.

While the investigation remains ongoing, preliminary assessments by authorities suggest that excessive speed combined with the road’s steep and winding characteristics likely contributed to the accident. Police have issued a renewed warning to all motorists, particularly those unfamiliar with the route, to exercise extreme caution when traveling on the hazardous Tri Trang mountain road, especially during nighttime hours when visibility decreases. The recovery operation for the damaged motorcycle is underway as authorities continue their investigation into the precise circumstances of the crash.
