PATTAYA — A fatal hit-and-run incident shook the coastal city of Pattaya late on the night of June 13, 2025, when a 51-year-old Thai woman was struck and killed by a speeding SUV that fled the scene. The tragedy unfolded at approximately 11:15 p.m. along a road in Soi Phratamnak 3, a typically quiet area that turned chaotic in the aftermath of the collision.

According to preliminary accounts, the woman had been walking back to her nearby accommodation after having dinner, accompanied by a foreign friend, when a black SUV suddenly came from behind and hit her. The impact was forceful, throwing her to the ground and leaving her gravely injured. The driver did not stop to offer help or call emergency services, fleeing the scene immediately after the collision.
Bystanders rushed to assist and promptly notified emergency responders. Volunteers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation arrived at the site within minutes, finding the victim unconscious and bleeding heavily by the roadside. Despite swift CPR efforts and attempts to stabilize her condition, she was pronounced dead shortly after due to the severity of her injuries.
