Body of Missing British Man Recovered After Yacht Fall in Phuket

PHUKET, June 13 — The body of a British man who fell overboard from a yacht near Cape Yamu has been found after a five-day search, the Royal Thai Navy confirmed Thursday.

Mr. E. J., who had gone missing on June 8 while sailing near Pa Khlok, was discovered washed ashore on Rad Island at around 2:00 PM on June 12. Authorities launched a large-scale search operation involving marine patrols and aerial surveillance after he was reported missing.

His remains were retrieved by rescue teams and are now being transported to the mainland for a full autopsy to confirm the cause of death.

Fire Guts Yacht in Phuket

The British Embassy has been informed, and arrangements are underway to support the family. Thai authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding his fall.
