Bomb Threat Forces Air India Flight to Make Emergency Landing in Phuket
PHUKET, June 13 — An Air India flight carrying 156 passengers made an emergency landing at Phuket International Airport this morning following a bomb threat discovered mid-flight. Authorities later confirmed that no explosive devices were found on board.

Flight AI 379, which had taken off from Phuket en route to New Delhi, was forced to turn back after the flight crew alerted air traffic control at around 9:30 AM. The pilot reported a bomb threat message found inside the aircraft.
Phuket Airport immediately activated its emergency response protocol. The aircraft landed safely and was directed to a secure area for inspection. Passengers were escorted to Gates 81-82, where they underwent additional screening.

Airport officials said a thorough sweep of the plane revealed no explosives, and no injuries were reported. Operations at the airport continued without major disruptions, and all other flights remained on schedule.

Phuket Airport is expected to hold a press conference later today to provide further details. Authorities are also investigating the origin of the threat and how the message ended up on the aircraft.
