Phuket Welcomes Inaugural Air India Flight from Delhi

PHUKET (NNT) – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) on Friday (Dec 15) celebrated the arrival of Air India’s inaugural flight from Delhi to Phuket. The flight, welcomed with a traditional water cannon salute, marks a new direct air link expected to boost tourism, especially with the current visa exemption policy.

The service, commencing with four weekly flights and expanding daily in January 2024, is part of Air India’s strategy to enhance connectivity in East and Southeast Asia. The operation includes economy and business class seats on an Airbus A320 Neo aircraft.
