Pattaya Sawang Boriboon Rescue Center received distress calls at 3:56 AM reporting the accident at a Third Road entertainment venue. Police and medical teams arrived to find 54-year-old Mr. P. suffering critical head injuries beside a white Mitsubishi Attrage. Rescue workers stabilized the groaning victim before emergency transport to hospital.
The 29-year-old ride-hailing driver, visibly shaken, told investigators he was entering the parking lot for a passenger pickup when the accident occurred. “I felt the car jolt while turning and stopped immediately,” he stated, adding he hadn’t seen the prone figure on the asphalt until exiting his vehicle. Bystanders helped him alert authorities.

Surveillance footage showed the intoxicated tourist collapsing multiple times despite his wife’s assistance. Security staff reported the man, in an extreme drunken state, repeatedly fell back to the ground before the sedan’s approach. The vehicle’s turning path tragically aligned with where the tourist lay motionless.
Pattaya police have secured CCTV evidence and taken the cooperative driver for questioning. While preliminary findings suggest an alcohol-impaired accident, authorities are examining all factors to ensure a fair investigation. The tourist’s current medical condition remains undisclosed.
