5.3-Magnitude Quake Hits Western China
BEIJING (Sputnik) — A 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck the western Chinese Tibet Autonomous Region on Sunday, the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC) said.
The quake hit at 9:48 a.m. local time (01:48 GMT) at the latitude of 28.36 degrees and the longitude of 87.60 degrees. The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles), according to the CENC.
