NCPO wary of monk ‘rally’

The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) is keeping a close eye on Buddhist monks thought to be planning a gathering at Sanam Luang and Phutthamonthon in Nakhon Pathom today to mark Makha Bucha Day.

NCPO spokesman Winthai Suvaree said Sunday military officers from national peace-keeping forces nationwide are on duty as usual to help monks perform their religious activities.
