Thai Police to issue arrest warrants for suspected human traders

BANGKOK, 1 August 2015 (NNT) – Police are preparing to issue arrest warrants for suspects believed involved in the trafficking of Thai workers to Indonesia.

High-ranking police officials including Deputy National Police Chief Ake Angsananont, Deputy Chief of the Central Investigation Bureau, Pol Maj. Gen. Chavalit Sawangpuech and Chief of the Anti-Human Trafficking Division, Pol Maj Gen Thiti Sangsawarng, convened today to discuss plans to bring remaining Thai men lured into forced labor in Indonesia back home, and to pursue and arrest the culprits.
