Japanese ‘father’ abandons surrogate babies

A 24-year-old Japanese man claimed to be the father of nine surrogate babies discovered in Bangkok, Shigeta Mitsutoki, fled Thailand early Thursday morning, immigration police confirmed on Friday.

A source at the Immigration Bureau said that Mr Mitsutoki had passed through immigration at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport.
