The National Council for Peace and Order said Sunday there are armed elements in the country who are prepared to resort to violence as the junta displayed to the media a large cache of illegal firearms, including many war weapons, seized in the past month from various places across the country.

However, no details were given about the armed elements, who they are or how many of them.
