BANGKOK, March 27 – Thailand’s anti-government People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) today turned down the idea of the Shinawatra family taking a break from the country’s politics in an exchange with the election, while Thaksin Shinawatra’s legal advisor today rejected the report on the controversial proposal.
PDRC leader Suthep Thaugsuban made his remarks following reports that ousted former premier Thaksin had proposed to his political opponents to allow the election to be held and that his younger sister, Yingluck and all the Shinawatra family would stay away from politics for one year in return.
