23 killed, many injured in Lampang bus accident

LAMPANG, Oct 24 – A chartered bus rented for a group of merit makers plunged into a ravine in the northern province of Lampang, killing 23 passengers.

Police said the bus was rented for a group of residents from Chiang Mai’s Saraphi district who were returning home after making merit at Wat Ban Wang Mai Charoen Temple in Wang Nuea in Lampang.
