Twin Dragon Park opens in Khao Kheow Zoo

CHON BURI, 21 January 2012 (NNT) – Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Chonburi has opened a new garden to celebrate the auspicious year of the dragon.

Dubbed the Twin Dragon Park, the zoo’s new highlight, which is decorated with a pair of 84-meter long dragons made of fresh and artificial leaves such as those of coconut and palm trees, is built to celebrate the 7th cycle birthday anniversary of His Majesty the King and to welcome to auspicious year of the dragon.

Dragons are a legendary creature and symbol of the Emperor of China. They are also viewed as benign creatures which bring prosperity and fertility to humans.
