An explosion kills one, injures another in Thailand’s southernmost province of Yala. The victim was Private Kriengkrai Promfai, 22, while the injured soldier was named as Private Siam sae Lao.

They were patrolling a road in Ban Buathong in Tambon Banlae when they stepped on the explosive, which had been hidden underground by insurgents.
