Cambodian rocket attack on Sisaket village injures civilians and damages homes
SISAKET – Cambodian forces fired salvos of BM-21 rockets into a residential community in Thailand’s Si Sa Ket province on Saturday morning, injuring multiple civilians and setting houses ablaze. The attack marked a significant escalation by targeting a populated area far from the immediate frontline.
Four Thai Soldiers Killed, Three Wounded in Battle for Strategic Hill
The intense clash began around 8:30 a.m. in tambon Sao Thong Chai, Kantharalak district, when Cambodian troops launched multiple rocket barrages. According to the popular Army Military Facebook page, the attack seriously injured at least two villagers and ignited two two-storey wooden houses near the entrance to Wat Phusam Sawan, causing widespread panic. Television Channel 3 later reported that four civilians were wounded, with two in serious condition.

The village head of Moo 1 identified two of the injured men as Sutjai, a school janitor who sustained shrapnel wounds, and Kaew, a local resident who suffered severe arm injuries that nearly required amputation. Ambulances were dispatched to provide urgent medical transport.

In response to the ongoing clashes, Si Sa Ket Governor Anurat Thamprachamjit issued a strict prohibition on residents returning to their homes in the border area.
