Police Bust International Drug Network in Pattaya Area Raids

PATTAYA – In a targeted operation against transnational crime, police raided two houses in the Huay Yai area near Pattaya, leading to the arrest of four foreign nationals and the seizure of a significant cache of drugs and suspected drug-making equipment. The operation, which took place on October 31, 2025, was led by Pol. Lt. Gen. Chatchai Surachetphong, Commander of Region 2 Police.

Nigerian Nationals Arrested in Pattaya Drug Bust

The successful raids were precipitated by the arrest of two Chinese nationals on October 29th, who subsequently provided intelligence linking the properties to a grey-zone Chinese network involved in drug use and production. Utilizing covert tactics, police officers disguised themselves as food delivery riders to gain access to the premises and apprehend the suspects without incident.

At the first targeted property, officers discovered and arrested two Chinese men and a Vietnamese woman in the act of injecting crystal methamphetamine, commonly known as “ice.” A quantity of drugs was confiscated at the scene. The suspects then directed authorities to a second house, which was identified as an active production site. There, a Malaysian man was apprehended while attempting to dispose of chemicals by flushing them down a toilet. A subsequent search of the location uncovered additional drug production equipment stored in cardboard boxes.

The evidence seized across both locations was substantial, totaling approximately 500 grams of crystal meth, 50 grams of methamphetamine (yaba), cannabis, various drug paraphernalia, and an assortment of chemicals believed to be precursors for manufacturing illicit substances.

During initial questioning, the suspects denied ownership of the confiscated items, instead claiming the drugs and equipment belonged to other foreign associates. Police officials have expressed skepticism regarding these claims. The investigation is now focused on tracing the supply chain for both the finished drugs and the chemical precursors, with efforts underway to identify and locate additional members of the criminal network.

Bangkok Pub Raid Nets Nigerian Dealer, Dozens Test Positive for Drugs

Authorities stated that this operation is a direct implementation of national policy to combat the narcotics trade and dismantle grey-zone Chinese criminal networks operating within Eastern Thailand’s tourist regions. They emphasized that the raid underscores their ongoing commitment to disrupting the production and distribution of illegal drugs in the Pattaya area.
