Cool Season Deluge: Bangkok Braces for a Wet Weekend as Rains Persist
BANGKOK – Despite the official commencement of Thailand’s cool season over a week ago, unseasonal rainfall continues to douse many parts of the country, with forecasts predicting a wet weekend ahead for the capital. The Meteorological Department attributes the persistent showers to a transitional weather pattern influenced by a cold front moving south from China and the ongoing La Niña phenomenon.

In a statement released on Thursday, the department clarified that this period marks a shift from the rainy to the cool season, explaining the current climatic conditions.
