American Man Dies After Balcony Fall on Koh Phangan
KOH PHANGAN – A 70-year-old American national died on the morning of September 28 after a fall from the second-floor balcony of his residence on Koh Phangan. Police and rescue units were dispatched to the scene in Moo 7 of the island’s subdistrict following an emergency call from the man’s wife.

The victim, identified as Mr. M., was discovered by his wife, Mrs. M., who alerted authorities immediately. According to the initial police investigation, Mr. M. fell from an approximate height of five meters. He was found unresponsive at the scene and was pronounced dead shortly after the arrival of emergency responders.

His body was transferred for a formal autopsy, which subsequently confirmed that the fatal injuries were consistent with a fall from height. Police have taken a statement from Mrs. M. and, based on the initial findings, have reported no evidence of foul play. The death is currently being treated as an accident.
