SURAT THANI – Authorities have raided and closed an unlicensed Russian-operated skin clinic on Koh Phangan following multiple complaints from foreign customers who suffered severe burns and skin damage from laser treatments.
Three Russians Arrested for Allegedly Operating Beauty Clinic on Koh Samui
During Wednesday’s operation at the Laser Me clinic in Ban Tai subdistrict, police arrested Thai manager Saitharn Sinchaisri, 43, and confiscated 12 illegal laser machines used for melasma removal, hair treatment, and pore tightening. The clinic allegedly generated over 300,000 baht monthly by primarily targeting Russian tourists, the Bangkok post reported.
The crackdown came after a British national filed a complaint with their embassy due to painful, inflamed wounds from a procedure, while an Israeli victim alerted the Tourist Police via the 1155 hotline. Police revealed that the clinic refused responsibility when confronted by injured clients, even threatening them and blocking further contact.

Ms. Saitharn admitted the business lacked proper medical licensing and stated she was hired as manager, receiving 25% of monthly profits. She claimed the actual owner was an unidentified Russian national, with operations coordinated by a woman named Olesia. Investigators estimate the clinic served around 600 clients in six months.
