The device, designed to resemble an artificial stone, was found in front of the residence, prompting an immediate security response.

In light of ongoing security concerns in the southern region, the Phang Nga Governor ordered heightened surveillance across the province. Police, administrative officers, and local territorial defense volunteers (Or Sor) swiftly ramped up patrols, focusing on critical areas such as government buildings, tourist sites, and residential communities.

Initial reports indicate that the object was detected by a combined team of local police and Or Sor personnel. Upon closer inspection, explosive experts determined that the device contained an active circuit capable of causing damage within a 10-meter radius. Specialized EOD units were dispatched to the scene and safely neutralized the threat without injuries or further disruption. The object has since been transferred to the Central Forensic Science Division for detailed examination.

Pol. Col. Weerapong Rakkito, Chief of Muang Phang Nga Police Station, revealed that critical intelligence from a suspect in custody directly led authorities to the device. A comprehensive security sweep was conducted in the surrounding area to rule out any additional threats.
