Thailand Implements Mandatory Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) for All Tourists Starting May 1

Foreign travelers visiting Thailand must now complete a Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) at least three days before departure, replacing the old TM.6 paper form. The new digital system goes live on April 28 for arrivals from May 1 onward, announced deputy government spokesman Anukool Pruksanusak.

Thailand Rolls Out Mandatory Digital Arrival Cards for All Foreign Visitors Starting May 1

How It Works

  • Tourists must submit personal details, passport information, travel plans, accommodation, and health status via the TDAC website.
  • A mobile app (for Android & iOS) will soon be available for easier access.
  • After submission, travelers receive a confirmation email to present at immigration.

Key Changes

No more TM.6 forms – The paper version was suspended last year.
Applies to all entry points – Air, land, and sea arrivals.
Not a visa – Only a digital entry form for smoother processing.
Multilingual support – Available in English, Chinese, Korean, Russian, and Japanese.

Why the Change?

The move aims to speed up immigration checks, enhance security screening, and align with global digital travel standards. Authorities are integrating the TDAC with e-Visa systems, health screenings, and tourism fee platforms for a seamless arrival process.

“This upgrade ensures faster, more efficient entry while maintaining security,” said Anukool. Travelers are urged to complete the form early to avoid delays.
