On January 9th, 2025, Pol. Lt. Col. Suwit Boonyapen, a tourist police inspector in Mae Hong Son, reported that an American tourist, Mr. D. J. M., 68, was found after getting lost in the forest near Pai District.

Six tourists rescued safely in two kayaking accidents in Koh Chang
