13 Arrested for Selling Illegal Drugs to Tourists Along Sukhumvit Road
Authorities in Bangkok arrested 13 individuals over the weekend in a crackdown on drug-related activities targeting tourists along the bustling Sukhumvit Road in the Phra Khanong district. The operation was part of an ongoing campaign to curb illegal drug distribution in popular tourist areas.

he suspects include 2 Thai nationals and 11 foreign nationals, all of whom were allegedly involved in selling illegal substances to tourists. The foreign suspects are from West Africa, with preliminary investigations indicating their involvement in an organized network.
Police seized 61 grammes of cocaine, additional evidence, such as mobile phones, cash, and packaging materials, was also collected during the operation.
The arrests occurred along Sukhumvit Road, particularly near popular nightlife hotspots and street markets frequented by tourists. Plainclothes officers posed as potential buyers to identify and apprehend the suspects. Surveillance had been ongoing for several weeks following complaints from locals and tourists.
