Death penalty for alleged Thai serial killer ‘Am Cyanide’
Sararat Rangsiwuthaporn, infamously known as the “Am Cyanide Killer,” has been sentenced to death by the Thai Criminal Court. Sararat was convicted of premeditated murder for poisoning a friend with cyanide during a merit-making trip. Investigators later linked her to at least 15 victims over eight years, making her one of Thailand’s most notorious serial killers.

Sararat targeted people she owed money to, poisoning them to steal valuables and erase debts. Her actions were financially motivated, with victims including friends and acquaintances.

The case, which involved extensive investigations and forensic testing, uncovered a systematic pattern of deceit and premeditated murder. Additional trials for related crimes and other victims are ongoing, with Sararat facing over 75 charges in total.
