The incident occurred after Mr. Niwat discovered that Ms. Lek was allegedly involved in a secret relationship with a Myanmar employee of the fruit shop.

Two gunshots were fired into the ceiling during their argument, and tragically, one of the bullets ricocheted downward, striking Ms. Lek. The employee allegedly involved in the affair had been present but fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.
