Northeastern Thailand: Korat flooding still worrisome

NAKHON RATCHASIMA, Oct 28 – Flooding in this northeastern Thai province is still worrisome as the water flow from several adjoining river basins continues to arrive.

Phimai district is hit hard, over a wide area by water from the Lam Takong, Lam Praploen, Lam Moonbon and Lamsae river basins. The floodwater level keeps rising, particularly at Phimai fresh market and the district bus terminal, to as high as 1.50 metres.
