Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission has won clearance to go ahead with the third generation cellular service on the 2.1 gigahertz spectrum, following acquittal in a court case.
The NBTC announced today that the Central Administrative Court has dropped the cases brought by CAT Telecom and TOT against the now defunct National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) in 2010, which questioned the NTC’s authority to hold a licence auction for third generation cellular service on the 2.1 gigahertz spectrum.
