Syrian accused of theft from Pattaya Seafood Restaurant

A Syrian man is accused of stealing money form a North Pattaya Seafood Restaurant late on Sunday Night.

Mr. Abdul Karim Mohamad aged 40 had gone to the Amporn Seafood Restaurant at the north-end of Pattaya Third Road and requested the cashier exchange a batch of 1,000 Baht bank notes for new ones only featuring the letter “L” in its serial number. The strange request was acknowledged by the cashier who carefully went through her money and separated out the notes with the correct letter in the serial number.

During this time, Mr. Mohamad is accused of snatching 23,000 Baht in cash.
