Body of Indian man found in Potato Field close to Pattaya
PATTAYA – The body of a man believed to be of Indian nationality was discovered in a potato field in the Huay Yai area near Pattaya on Friday afternoon. The deceased, who carried no identification, was found by a local farmer during a routine inspection of his crops.
The discovery was made by 64-year-old farmer Samak (last name withheld), who immediately alerted authorities. Police, forensic officers, and rescue workers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation responded to the scene.
The man was fully clothed, and initial estimates suggest he had been dead for at least six hours prior to being found. No visible identification documents were recovered from the body.
An investigation is underway to determine the man’s identity and the cause of death. The body has been transferred to a local hospital for an autopsy as authorities work to notify next of kin and piece together the circumstances leading to his death.
