Thai police arrest Indian smuggler with 7 kilograms of ketamine

(NECN/MCOT: Samut Prakan, Thailand) – Thai custom police arrest an Indian man for attempting to smuggle over 7 kilograms of ketamine into the kingdom.

The 33-year-old Indian national flew into the Suvarnabhumi Airport from Chennai on Monday.

According to the Airport’s Custom Police, the suspects appearance and his suitcase matched descriptions of potential drug smugglers compiled from previously nabbed suspects.

After a search, police found 7.4 kilograms of ketamine, more commonly known as K drug, hidden in a special compartment of the suspects suitcase; its estimated value is about $660,000 U.S. dollar.
