Tossaporn Srisaman, Director of the Fine Arts Office 10, which oversees historical sites in the lower Northeast, specifically addressed the damage to Prasat Ta Kwai. The temple, reportedly used as a bunker during fighting, suffered significant harm, including the collapse of its spire due to sustained shelling.

The Fine Arts Department will establish a committee to conduct comprehensive surveys of all affected historical sites along the Thai-Cambodian border. This includes not only Prasat Ta Kwai but also other significant structures feared to have been damaged, such as Prasat Ta Muen Thom and Prasat Khana. The assessment aims to document the extent of the destruction and prepare for future conservation efforts once security conditions allow.
