Interpol-Wanted Swedish Arson Suspect Captured in Pattaya Using Fake German Identity
PATTAYA – A Swedish national wanted internationally for arson has been apprehended in Pattaya after attempting to evade capture using forged German identification documents. Immigration police arrested the suspect on November 24th following an operation triggered by an Interpol Red Notice issued for his alleged involvement in a fire-related case in Sävsjö, Sweden.

According to Pol. Maj. Gen. Songprot Sirisukha, Commander of Immigration Division 3, the individual was located after authorities received intelligence confirming his presence in Thailand. During his arrest, the suspect admitted his identity and was found to have overstayed his legal permission to remain in the country.

Investigators discovered he had been using counterfeit German identity cards and driver’s licenses to check into accommodations and conduct transactions while hiding in the popular resort city.
