Karon Municipality rescue teams discovered the body lodged among rocks near Laem Sai in Karon at approximately 7:30 a.m. The victim was clad only in swimming trunks when retrieved from the water. Forensic doctors from Vachira Phuket Hospital conducted an initial examination at the scene before the body was transferred for a detailed autopsy. A., 32, and Mohamed R. A.—who sustained only minor injuries. However, Jasim, the eldest brother, was swept away by strong waves.
