The lineup includes Sihasak Phuangketkeow, former permanent secretary for foreign affairs, as foreign minister; Ekniti Nitithanprapas, director-general of the Treasury Department, as finance minister; and Atthapol Rerkpiboon, former CEO of state-owned PTT Plc, as energy minister. Anutin emphasized that their selections were based on expertise and dedication rather than political allegiance.
Sihasak, a seasoned diplomat, immediately addressed escalating tensions with Cambodia, rejecting the term “hot potato” and emphasizing the need for “long-term foundations” to resolve bilateral issues. Anutin praised Sihasak’s international reputation, stating his appointment would reassure diplomatic and business communities.

On economic policy, Anutin highlighted Ekniti’s extensive background in fiscal leadership, including roles directing the Fiscal Policy Office and Revenue Department. The new premier signaled openness to reviving popular policies like the Khon La Khrueng co-payment scheme, initiated under former Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, if proven beneficial to the public.
Anutin dismissed concerns about Cabinet cohesion, pledging that his administration would avoid the internal divisions that plagued previous governments. “Ministers will work with shared goals and unity, not party interests,” he asserted, describing the team as “harmonious and ready to work immediately.”
