American Tourist Found Dead on Patong Beach in Phuket
PHUKET — The body of a 28-year-old American tourist was discovered washed ashore on Patong Beach on Friday afternoon, prompting an investigation by local authorities.

Officers arrived to find the lifeless body of a foreign man later identified as Mr. S.S.S., a U.S. citizen of Chinese descent. A friend of the deceased confirmed his identity at the scene.
While initial examinations showed no obvious signs of foul play, the body has been transferred to Patong Hospital for a full autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. Police are reviewing nearby security camera footage and interviewing witnesses to reconstruct the events leading to the tragedy.
Authorities are coordinating with the U.S. Embassy to notify the victim’s family and facilitate repatriation procedures. The investigation remains ongoing as officials work to provide clarity surrounding the circumstances of his death.
